South Hilo, Hawai‘i – January 10, 2025

The Department of Water Supply (DWS), County of Hawai‘i, has announced that there will be traffic disruptions on Komohana Street in South Hilo on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. due to construction work related to the installation of a new water service.

During the work, one lane of Komohana Street, between Puainako Street and Mehana Place, will be closed, and traffic will be directed to alternate lanes with the help of traffic control measures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to plan their routes in advance to avoid the area if possible.
