West Hawaiʻi Organics Facility to Reopen July 28

The Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, reports that the West Hawai‘i Organics
Facility, located at Pu‘uanahulu, will resume normal operations starting on Thursday, July 28. The facility
adjacent to the West Hawai‘i Sanitary Landfill has been closed since Saturday, July 23, due to a fire, which has
been extinguished.
