Hawai\u2019i Island police have identified the woman suspected of passing a counterfeit $100 bill on April 24, 2024, at a business in Hilo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Area I Criminal Investigation Section detectives identified the woman on Saturday, June 8, 2024, following numerous tips from the public identifying her as the owner of a business in Hilo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, police believe the woman\u2019s business unknowingly received the counterfeit bill as payment for goods, and that she is not responsible for producing any counterfeit U.S. Currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
