Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) MOUNTAIN VIEW TO VOLCANO (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Shoulder closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between Oshiro Road and Alii Koa Street, on Saturday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for surveying.

2)HONUAPO

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 58 and 61, vicinity of Whittington Beach Park, on Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mowing and grass cutting.

3) NAALEHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 60.5 and 63.5, vicinity of Whittington Beach Park and Niu Street, on Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscaping and vegetation cutting.

4) CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 107 and 108, Keei/Rabbit Hill Road and Government Main Road, on Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscaping and shoulder work.

— KUAKINI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) HONALO

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile marker 113.9 and 114, vicinity of Honalo Road, on Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the Kuakini Drainage Improvements.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HONOMU TO HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14 and 16, vicinity of Kolekole Beach Park and vicinity of Leopolino Road, on Saturday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 7, for landscaping and vegetation cutting.

  • Weekend work hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Weekday work will be between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

2) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14.2 and 14.3, vicinity of Kolekole Stream, on Saturday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge work.

3) HAKALAU (24/7 RESTRICTION)

4) OOKALA

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 27 and 29, Jardine Road and Moonlight Road, on Monday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming, mulching, and shoulder work.

— QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

1) KAMUELA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69, vicinity of Kawaihae Road and Hapuna Beach Road, on Saturday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 7, for shoulder restoration and vegetation cutting.

  • Weekend work hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Weekday work will be between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

— KALANIANAOLE AVENUE (ROUTE 19) —

1) KEAUKAHA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kalanianaole Avenue (Route 19) possible in either direction between Kamehameha Avenue and Kuhio Street, nightly from 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, through 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, for the Kalanianaole Avenue Reconstruction. — KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD/ PAHOA-KALAPANA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PAHOA

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile markers 14 and 16, vicinity of Nunulu Road and Kamalii Road, Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mowing.

2) PAHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 17 and 19, vicinity of Upper Puna Road and Old Kalapana Road, Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for mulching and landscaping.

3) PAHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 18 and 21, vicinity of Oneele Road and vicinity of Kaimu Chain of Craters Road, Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

4) PAHOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mile marker 19 and 21, vicinity of Old Kalapana Road and vicinity of Kaimu Chain of Craters Road, Saturday, Oct. 1, and Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for mulching and landscaping.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) KOHALA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 13, vicinity of Ponoholu Ranch, Monday, Oct. 3, through Friday, Oct. 7, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for road resurfacing.
