The County of Hawaiʻi is making it easier for residents to pay for vehicle registration and licensing services by introducing new payment options at all Vehicle Registration and Licensing locations.
As of December 11, customers can now pay with credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payment services, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash and check payments will still be accepted.
“We are pleased to provide the public with more ways to pay for their vehicle registrations and licenses,” said Mayor Kimo Alameda. “We want to thank the Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division for implementing this change and making in-person services more convenient for customers.”
The Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division oversees the processing of vehicle registrations, driver’s licenses, and commercial driver’s licenses. Vehicle registration payments can also be made online.
