Hawaiʻi County Hiring for 2025 Summer Fun Program

The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for temporary positions in its 2025 Summer Fun Program. The program provides recreational activities for children and teens at various locations across the county during summer break.

Positions and Pay

  • Activity Aide I: $17.50 per hour
  • Activity Aide II: $19.00 per hour

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current First Aid certification.
  • Complete and submit a Summer Fun application.
  • Be available for mandatory training from June 3–6, 2025.
  • Be available to work from June 9–July 18, 2025.

Applications are available:

  • In Person: Recreation Division Office, 799 Pi‘ilani Street, Hilo
  • At Local Gyms: Hawai‘i County gymnasiums

Completed applications must be submitted to the Recreation Division or postmarked by Friday, February 28, 2025.
