Hilo, Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiʻi County Planning Department has announced that it is accepting applications for several new subdivision and consolidation projects across the island. These applications, submitted in accordance with Section 23-58.2 of the Subdivision Code, are now on file and open for public inspection.
The following applications have been submitted:
Consolidation Applications (PL-CON): These applications involve combining multiple existing parcels into a single, larger lot.
- Kirk J. & Tamara I. Cantrell (PL-CON-2025-000086): Seeking to consolidate 0.340 acres of land into one single lot of 0.340 acres. The property is located in South Kona, identified by Tax Map Keys (TMKs): 8-7-018:053 & 054.
- Liane R.L. & George B. Garrett (PL-CON-2025-000087): Proposing to consolidate 0.5579 acres into one single lot of 0.5579 acres. This property is located in Kaʻū, identified by TMKs: 9-9-009:105 & 106.
Subdivision Application (PL-SUB): This application involves dividing an existing parcel into multiple smaller lots.
- Onan K.S. & Christy L. Masaoka Tr (PL-SUB-2025-000340): Applying to subdivide a 1.016-acre property into two smaller lots, measuring 29,242 square feet and 15,022 square feet respectively. This property is located in South Hilo, identified by TMK: 2-5-015:057.
