Hawai’i Island Police Search for Missing Puna Woman Nanako Hara (Located)

Hawai’i Island police report that Nanako Hara was located in Puna yesterday, June 7, 2021, in good health.


Hawai’i Island police are searching for a 22-year-old Puna woman who was reported missing.

Nanako Hara was last seen in Volcano on Friday, June 4, 2021, and may have gone to the Honoka’a area.

She is described as a Japanese female, approximately 5’1” tall, weighing 101 pounds with dark brown eyes and medium length black hair with blond tips. She may be wearing purple running shoes.

Police ask anyone with any information about this case to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
