Hawaii Police Request Public’s Assistance to Identify Puna Burglars

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance regarding the burglary of a storage business that occurred within the Puna district at the 15-1500 block of 13th Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.

At 1:30 p.m. on February 18, 2022, Puna Patrol officers responded to the business after the owner reported that two of the storage units had been forcefully opened and the surveillance system tampered with.

Officers investigating the incident were able to retrieve surveillance footage which shows three male suspects entering and exiting the business by squeezing through the locked front gate. Police ask anyone with information about this Burglary to contact Officer Alipate Moleni at (808) 965-2716 or call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
