If convicted as charged, Kerrigan faces a mandatory prison term.
Kerrigan is scheduled to make his initial appearance on Tuesday in Hilo District Court. He remains in custody in lieu of $2,000.00 bail. A review of court records indicates that at the time of the alleged offense, Kerrigan was pending felony drug charges for an unrelated matter.
