Native Hawaiian Organization to Host GOTV Voting Event in Hilo Today

As a follow-up to the “Walk To The Box” event that was held in Honolulu last week, Native Hawaiian students, community organizations, and leaders in East Hawaiʻi will be organizing a voting event in Hilo to highlight the importance of Native Hawaiian civic engagement and turnout at the polls.

The event will begin with sign waving along Kamehameha Avenue (near Wailoa River State Park) at 4:00 p.m. Participants will also hear a series of speeches from event organizers.
