Police Ask Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing Hilo Woman Mele Kuli (LOCATED)

Hawai‘i Island police have located 71-year-old Mele Kuli of Hilo, who was previously reported missing. She was found in good health on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.


Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 71-year-old Mele A. Kuli of Hilo. Kuli was reportedly last seen leaving the 100 block of Kaieie Place, in the Panaewa area of Hilo on Monday, May 16, 2022, around 4:00 p.m. in a 2014 gold Toyota Highlander bearing license plate ZCN988. She was last seen wearing a gray colored blouse and blue jeans pants.
 
Kuli is described as Polynesian, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 235 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. 
 
Police ask anyone with information on Kuli’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Dustin Chaves at dustin.chaves@hawaiicounty.gov.
