Police Capture Escapee Keahi Sale

Hawai`i Island police have arrested Hawai’i Community Correctional Center (H.C.C.C.) inmate, Keahi C. Sale for second-degree escape.

Sale was located the morning of 12-6-2021 shortly before 9:00 a.m. at a building on the 400 block of Waianuenue Avenue in Hilo. Officers responded and arrested SALE without incident, after receiving a tip from the public.

Sale had been reported as an escapee on December 3, 2021 from the Hale Nani Correctional Center where he had been in custody for multiple violent felonies.

Sale has been returned to Hawai’i Community Correctional Center.

The Hawai’i Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Sale.
