Police Request Assistance Locating Wanted Kona Couple (Updated 12/13/21)

Hawai‘i Island police report that they located and subsequently arrested Noland Wilson and Javelyn Tavares, who were wanted in connection with a forgery investigation.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this case. Police ask that anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective Tyler Prokopec by phone at (808) 326-4646, ext. 224 or by email at Tyler.Prokopec@hawaiicounty.gov or call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.


Hawai’i Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Javelyn Tavares and Noland Wilson.  Both parties have outstanding warrants for their arrests in connection to a forgery investigation.  Wilson also has an additional outstanding warrant.

Tavares is described as 5 feet 3 inches in height, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. There is no photo on file for Tavares.

Wilson is described as 6 feet in height, 180 pounds, with hazel eyes and black hair.  Both Tavares and Wilson are known to frequent the Kona area.
