Police Search for Missing Teen Hunter Leu (LOCATED)

Hawai‘i Island police report that 17-year-old Hunter Leu, who was reported missing, was located in good health. The police department thanks to the public for their assistance in the matter.


Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Hunter Leu, who was reported missing.

Leu was last seen on Friday, September 17, 2021, around 2:30 p.m., in the area of Hilo Medical Center wearing a paper HMC gown.

He is described as having a slim build, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone with any information on Leu’s whereabouts please contact the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311 or dial 911. They can also contact Lieutenant Robert Pauole of the Area I Juvenile Aid Section at (808) 961-2254 or via email at Robert.Pauole@hawaiicounty.gov.
