Police search repeat Runaway Keith Fukunaga (LOCATED)

UPDATE: Hawai‘i Island police report that 16-year-old Keith Fukunaga of Kurtistown, who was reported as a runaway last year, has been located in Puna in good health.

Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a juvenile male who was reported as a runaway.

15 year old Keith Fukunaga was last seen in the Kurtistown area on July 20, 2020. He is described as being of asian ancestry, 5-feet-6-inches tall, 135 pounds, with short black hair, medium complexion and brown eyes.   He was last seen wearing a black sweat-shirt, gray shorts and a black baseball cap.  He may be in the Hawaiian Paradise Park area.

Fukunaga was reported to be missing on May 3, 2020. He was later located on July 6, 2020. 14 days later he was on the run again.

Police ask anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Fukunaga  to contact Detective Gavin Kagimoto of the Area I Juvenile Aid Section at (808) 961-2276 or via email at gavin.kagimoto@hawaiicounty.gov or contact the police  non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
