Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Missing “At Risk” Hilo Man

HILO, Hawaiʻi – Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking for the public’s urgent assistance in locating 69-year-old Michael Joyce, who has been reported as a missing “at risk” person. Joyce is considered endangered due to his age and the fact that he requires medication.

Michael Joyce is described as a Caucasian male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with an unknown tattoo on his right forearm. He was last seen on Friday, May 23, 2025, around 12:00 p.m., in the area of the 100 block of West Kāwili Street in Hilo. His clothing description at the time he went missing is unknown.
