Coffee With a Cop

Recognizing that it’s more important than ever to stay connected with community during the pandemic, west Hawai‘i residents are invited to attend two talk story sessions with members of Hawai‘i Police Department during “Kona Community Policing Coffee with a Cop” events this month. The events will take place on the third and fourth Fridays of February from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the following locations:

  • Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive.
  • Friday, February 26, 2021, at Kona Coffee & Tea, 74-5588 Palani Road.

“Coffee with a Cop” encourages community members to get to know their police officers over a cup of coffee. This casual event has no agenda and topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

Stop by and get to know your district and community police officers over a cup of coffee; discuss topics of mutual interest and concern.

Officers will adhere to all social distancing guidelines maintaining the 6 feet distance and wearing of masks. They will also be restricting access should the max capacity be reached. Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use.

This event will be subject to change with regard to COVID-19 restrictions and or additional proclamations issued by county and state government.

If you have any question regarding the event or Coffee with a Cop in general, please contact Kona Community Policing at (808) 326-4646 Ext. 257, 258, or 259.
