Hawaii Police Department Gives Update and Makes a Correction to the Two Wanted in Questioning Regarding 2019 Missing Person Case

Hawai’i Island police issued a thanks to the public for their assistance and a correction to yesterdays media release in locating Dorajean Nihoa and Joseph Keka, who both reached out to police in regard to this investigation.

The media release incorrectly stated that Joseph Keka was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. The original media release should have read:

Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 57-year-old Dorajean Nihoa of Hilo and 60-year-old Joseph Keka of Kona.

Both are wanted for questioning regarding a missing person investigation that occurred in Ocean View in November 2019. Nihoa also has an outstanding unrelated warrant.

Nihoa is described as a local female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Keka is described as a local male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 275 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.
