Puna Woman Charged with Drug Prescription Forgery and Felony Drug Possession

Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced that a Puna woman, 36 year-old Lila Lu Rose Clark was charged with drug prescription forgery and felony drug possession offenses in relation to five (5) separate incidents occurring between October 2020 and February 2021.
As the Felony Information alleges, Clark was charged with fifteen (15) felony offenses including, five (5) counts each of Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree (possess 25 or more capsules, tablets, ampules, dosage units, or syrettes of Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen), Forgery in the Second Degree, and Prohibited Acts (obtain a controlled substance by fraud or forgery). Clark remains in custody in lieu of $100,000.00 bail pending her initial appearance on Monday in Hilo Circuit Court.
The joint investigation was lead by State Narcotic Enforcement Division special agents and Detective Kelly Moniz, Area I Vice Section, Hawai‘i Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Elyssa Correia-Keltner.
The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
