State Road and Highways Roadwork and Lane Closures for November 20 -26, 2021

Hawaii Island lane closures scheduled for the week of November 20 – November 26

PLEASE NOTE:
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Thursday, November 25, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, unless permitted. Highway 130 special use lanes will not be operational.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) — 

1) HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 2 and 4, Kanoelehua Avenue and Lama Street, on Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscape maintenance.

2) HILO

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 5 and 7, Ikaika Street and Old Volcano Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscape maintenance.

 

 

— KUAKINI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) KONA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 115 and 116, Walua Road and Puuloa Road, Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

 

 

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) MOUNTAIN VIEW (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 10 and 16, Volcano Road and N Peck Road, on Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

2) MOUNTAIN VIEW

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 13 and 15, Enos Road and Kopua Road, on Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

 

3) HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 96 and 97, Kaohe Road and Haleili Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

 

4) HONAUNAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 97 and 98, on Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

 

5) CAPTAIN COOK TO HONAUNAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 103 and 110, Kiilae Road and Alii Drive, on Monday, Nov. 22 through Wednesday, Nov. 24, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work.

 

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 4 and 5.5, Wainaku Street and Hikini Street, on Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

2) HILO

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 4 and 6, Wainaku Street and Kaaukai Place, on Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

3) HILO

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 7 and 10, Kaapoko Homestead Road and Kulala Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

4) HAKALAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 13 and 17, Pua Street and Kauniho Road, on Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

 

 — KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) KEAAU

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0 and 2.1, Hawaii Belt Road and Opukahaia Street, Monday, Nov. 15 through Wednesday, Nov. 24, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for paving work.

 

2) KEAAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) in both directions between mile markers 0 and 6, Hawaii Belt Road and Orchid Land Drive, Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

 

 

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

1) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 4, in the vicinity of Waimea-Kohala Airport, on Tuesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 26, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work.

2) KAMUELA

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 3.9 and 6.9, in the vicinity of Saddle Road, on Monday, Nov. 22 through Wednesday, Nov. 24, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for striping, guardrail and shoulder work.

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) KAPAAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) possible in either direction between mile markers 21 and 24, Maluhia Road and Akana Place, on Saturday, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for shoulder and landscaping work.
